ABOUT US
The Storybook Project of Arkansas is a prison outreach program which helps to keep families connected during incarceration by recording parents and grandparents reading a beloved book to the children in their lives. The book and recording we mail to the children are a tangible way to let children know that they are loved and that their loved ones are thinking of them.
Our program relies entirely on hard-working volunteers, generous donations and grants. We operate with no overheads in terms of paid staff or rented space.
"Since I’ve come to prison, I’ve lost contact with everyone I knew.
The Storybook Project has not only given me the opportunity to get back in contact with my kids but to teach them important life lessons." – Jorge
